A notice to the reader
This morning the paper did not print.
The press stood ready and the wire was read, but nothing passed the gates — the paper publishes only what it can vouch for, and holds the rest without exception.
A newspaper that admits it did not print is more trustworthy than one silently showing yesterday. The next edition is compiled at six o’clock each morning, Central European Time.
A quiet day upon the wire. The paper prints what it can vouch for, and today it can vouch for nothing new.
